Bodyboarders Boycott Snickers/MARS & Ryobi Tools

A couple weeks ago a new ad from Snickers began circulating throughout the bodyboarding community and received much deserved negative attention. It features Mick Fanning mocking the almighty “boogie board,” and adding insult to injury was a photo of Joel Parkinson circulating the web, showing him standing in front of  the actual ad, again clowning the sport.  The ad’s header reads, “When I’m hungry, I boogie board” claiming “You’re not you when you’re hungry.”

As a result, bodyboarders worldwide are calling for a ban of the candy bar and all MARS products, and we encourage everyone to do the same. Take the time to visit both snickers.com and mars.com and let them know how you feel about their ad, and subsequently, their product.

From the looks of it, seems like Ryobi Tools wants to use the same tactic to sell their product, also throwing the SUP and Kayaker’s into the mix.  Check it out below, and then be sure to click here to let them know how you feel about their ad new campaign.
